An interesting concept from Anna Utopia Giordano using 'children's brands' for alcohol products. The designs may raise many controversial issues, however i appreciate the brilliant design fit and humour involved- think outside the box, or bottle in this case...

Another Re-blog from design cloud. I found this particularly interesting because it illustrates just how straight-forward and simple it is to produce an effective layout using typography and is definitely influential for my future projects.
designcloud: Ten ideas to live by Alder Dog Design idea belongs to Anthony Neil Dart. His project is an example of excellent design, copy it was a good experience for me. In this project I tried to refine and improve the original idea using the same techniques.

I found this piece whilst looking up PS tutorials. I really love the colours and movement used and find the design very unique. Someday i wish to achieve a design to this standard

Sachplakat

When researching design ideas for my brief, i stumbled upon the design technique-Sachplakat.
Sachplakat, meaning (object poster) is a German invention founded by Lucian Bernhard in 1906 as a reaction to the excesses of Art Nouveau.
"Sachplakat is the reduction of a selling message to a minimum number of elements—usually the product, a logo or trademark, and a bold line(s) of type, often in hand-drawn block letters." -http://www.chroniclebooks.com/landing-pages/Chronicle/excerpt/0811823083-e1.html

A Re-blog from Designcloud. I love how simplistic and effective this piece is using everyday household objects. Just goes to show anything can be used in design.

AntiSec

is a “movement” of hackers working through the internet to oppose the computer security industry. They have threatened to take over Facebook and over-ride the system this very evening on Guy Fawkes. This sect has cleverly emerged in the media using particular intertextual references to historical occurrences.. be it a hoax or not, they have obviously got the recognition they wanted.

Michael Jackson Trial Continues

Many people have a biased opinion about wether Dr. Conrad Murray is in fact guilty of manslaughter to the king of pop. This may be why there has been so much controversy within the courtroom as to how extraneous and time consumingly delicate this case has become.
